Today I’m feeling rather blue… indigo, denim, navy, dusty! I’m writing up instructions for this Nuno felt purse (for both my book and some upcoming workshops in Kirkland WA and Estes Park CO) and what better way to get in the mood than to dress up and wear it while I write!
It’s a blustery day but lots of light in my studio thanks to 3 walls of windows. Layering wool roving and various silks to create a short jacket in teal, purple, periwinkle, chartreuse and with just a hint of gold.
I am designing a series of Nuno Felt Jackets for a retreat in Colorado – Felter’s Rendezvous. This little ‘Garden Jacket’ is made in one piece, no sewing or knitting. Just straight wet felting using resists.
