We walked around the cute town of Langley on Whidbey Island and had a lovely (but cold) picnic on the beach. The autumn colors are in full swing and I especially love them against this blue wall!

It’s a blustery day but lots of light in my studio thanks to 3 walls of windows. Layering wool roving and various silks to create a short jacket in teal, purple, periwinkle, chartreuse and with just a hint of gold.

I am designing a series of Nuno Felt Jackets for a retreat in Colorado – Felter’s Rendezvous. This little ‘Garden Jacket’ is made in one piece, no sewing or knitting. Just straight wet felting using resists.
