Beverly Ash Gilbert is a multimedia artist, author, teacher and color consultant whose work with color engages with artists and art enthusiasts of all levels. She has written a number of books including the innovative Eye For Color color wheel system used by artists around the world; Artful Color for Creative Projects, Beaded Colorways, Dip Into Color and is currently working on her 5th book centered around using color in fiber art.
Her artwork is featured in an array of mediums including: Tennis wear worn by Lleyton Hewitt in the 2015 US Open; Cover art for the poetry collection: The Body A Tree; Juried into a number of publications such as Incite 2 and 3: Best of Mixed Media; and used for advertising, signage, on-line websites and blogs by numerous local and national businesses including: Martha Stewart Living, Full Circle Farm and LizzyKate Tea.
She has been featured on Transformation Talk Radio – The Christine Upchurch Show and Art Beat NW KKNW AM1150 radio, and was an invited speaker at the Bellevue Art Museum.
Beverly teaches workshops at the Kirkland Arts Center and is an Artist in Residence for elementary schools in the Lake Washington School District. Students from all around the US, Canada and other parts of the world come to her Creative Retreats on Whidbey Island for an immersion of color, freeform expression and gourmet food.
